Abstract
The original ADAP program, as developed for the CDC machines did not include hydrodynamic effects of the reservoir water. In 1979, a separate subroutine (RSVOIR) was developed using an incompressible finite-element formulation to approximate hydrodynamic effects of the water by an equivalent added-mass matrix that would be added to the mass of the concrete in dynamic analysis. The present version of the program is called EADAP for Enhanced Arch Dam Analysis Program. INCRES, for INCompressible REServoir, is the name given to the new version of the previous RSVOIR subroutine. These programs can also be installed on a UNIX environment with minimal modifications. The report is intended as a user's manual for the EADAP and INCRES programs. The most important features of the program including the system idealization, element types, and the analysis procedures are described. The input data and the output results are discussed, and a sample problem is presented.
