Abstract
The Charles Lee Powell Structural Systems Laboratory at the University of California, San Diego, has been constructed for the full scale testing of up to five story buildings under simulated seismic loads. The main emphasis of the report is given to a detailed description of the parameters and criteria which governed the design as well as a detailed description of the construction of the four cell box girder test floor.
