Abstract
To facilitate timely exchange of information among researchers whose projects are funded by the Natural Hazard Mitigation programs at the National Science Foundation, a workshop was held at Crystal Bay (Lake Tahoe), Nevada, on April 27 and 28, 1995. Five NSF programs, four within the Earthquake Hazard Mitigation (EHM) program, and the fifth and Natural and Technological Hazard Mitigation were represented at the Workshop. The EHM programs were: (1) Architectural and Mechanical Systems, (2) Earthquake Systems Integration, (3) Siting and Geotechnical Systems, and (4) Structural Systems. Representative researchers from these programs were invited to give a brief presentation about their research.
